What is NZPUG?

The New Zealand Python User Group Incorporated (NZPUG) is an organisation that aims to support and promote the use of the Python programming language in the country.  NZPUG works towards this by:

NZPUG was incorporated in 2009 (Society Number 2250349) and was officially registered as a charity on the 16th of February 2016 (Charity Registration Number CC52902).

New Zealand Python User Group Incorporated is governed by its charter which lays out the rules of the society.  The society is run by its members.  Every member of NZPUG and everyone who attends an NZPUG event or participates in one of our initiatives  is subject to the code of conduct.  All of the initiatives and the governance of NZPUG are done by members who volunteer their time, expertise, and effort.  Each year a committee of seven members is elected to manage the organisation and co-ordinate its initiatives, according to the mandates of the charter.
