Talking to each other
at Kiwi PyCon

Everyone has the right to be addressed in a way that is consistent with their identity and in which they recognise themselves.
Everyone has also the right to feel comfortable and respected.

Our Code of Conduct "aims to foster an inclusive community (…) in an environment of mutual respect, tolerance and encouragement."

This is why this year at Kiwi PyCon X we are introducing pronoun and communication stickers, which you may choose to put on your name badge.

The pronoun stickers indicate the pronouns a person prefers to be addressed and referred to by. If this is new to you have a look here.

The communication stickers indicate whether a person prefers to be the one initiating social interactions or is otherwise happy to be approached by others at any time.

It will be considered a breach of our Code of Conduct to ignore these requests.
Wearing the stickers isn't compulsory, but respecting them is.
