Posters CFP: Final Week!

This week is the final week to submit proposals for posters at Kiwi PyCon XIII. At the conference, the walls of the breakout room will feature posters of interesting Python-related projects and concepts, which attendees can wander past and take their own time to read.

On Sunday at lunchtime, poster creators will make themselves available by their posters to answer your questions and discuss their work.

Although our talk schedule has now been finalised, we are still looking for poster submissions on any topics of interest to the Python community in Aotearoa. Our conference is attended by people with a wide range of interests and experiences, including experienced professional programmers, people who use Python to support their work in other fields, students, and hobbyists.

If you have something to share, consider a poster submission; prepare an A1-sized poster that will be displayed at the conference (see this page for more details on what to expect). Anyone can submit a proposal to be a poster presenter at Kiwi PyCon XIII.

  • Conference organisers will have posters printed and brought to the conference venue, or presenters may opt to prepare and bring their posters themselves.
  • During the scheduled poster session at lunchtime on Sunday, poster presenters will be available to answer questions and discuss the topics of their posters.

Our conference is governed by a code of conduct and a health and safety policy which we ask you to read before making a submission. By submitting a proposal you are agreeing to abide by them.

The final deadline for submitting a poster proposal is 30 June Anywhere on Earth (If you’re in the NZ timezone that effectively means 1 July). You’ve got a week left to submit your proposal!

Also just to clarify: you don’t have to have completed the poster when you make your submission. The 30 June deadline is for the proposal: the posters themselves will be due closer to the conference dates.
